ADE + K Drops by Seeking Health supply four essential fat-soluble vitamins in a bioavailable, easy-to-administer liquid form.
Vitamin A occurs in the diet in two forms: retinol/retinyl esters (preformed vitamin A, from animal sources) and carotenoids (provitamin A) such as beta-carotene. Provitamin A carotenoids are found in many plant sources and must be converted by the body into vitamin A. While excessive intakes of preformed vitamin A can be associated with certain health risks, provitamin A compounds are not known to contribute to these effects. ADE + K Drops contain preformed vitamin A. We recommend that you consult with your healthcare professional and evaluate your daily intake of preformed vitamin A from dietary sources and other supplements to determine whether this product is suitable for you.*
Vitamin D can be synthesized by the human body in response to sun exposure. However, certain factors may make it more difficult for some individuals to produce sufficient vitamin D via this mechanism, including darker skin tone, living at higher latitudes, and decreased UV exposure during winter months. Vitamin D is also naturally present in some foods, such as fish (especially cod liver oil), beef liver, and egg yolks, making supplementation especially important for those who follow a vegetarian diet.*
Vitamin E is the name given to a family of eight compounds known as tocopherols and tocotrienols with varying levels of biological activity as antioxidants. Antioxidants help to protect the body from the potentially damaging effects of certain free-radicals. Environmental factors such as pollutants and UV radiation from the sun contribute to daily exposure to free-radicals.*
Vitamin K refers to the family of compounds that includes phylloquinones (K1) and menaquinones (K2). Menaquinones are mostly produced by bacteria, including some species in the human gut, and are present in certain fermented foods such as natto (fermented soybeans) and some animal products. Vitamin K1 is thought to be more involved in supporting circulatory health while vitamin K2 is thought to be uniquely important for supporting vitamin D and calcium in their roles for maintaining bone health. ADE + K Drops contain vitamin K2 as menaquinone-7.*
